Eat Simple.
Don’t start cooking too much until you are more settled. Also, catch up on the laundry before the move. You will be busy enough unpacking after you move, and you don’t want to have other chores interfering with this.
Stretch It Out
Exercise every evening, even if it is a few stretches or a walking video on your tv. And try to relax by watching a movie or even part of a movie. These things will calm you and make sure you don’t overdo it! They will also help you sleep better.
Be Ready For Company
Get your “seen areas” clear first — the kitchen and living room in my case. We had all sorts of people over for various reasons, and it was nice to have things looking tidy and cleared off even if we had just moved.
Beds Ready ASAP
Make your beds the first thing. You certainly don’t want to wait until you are too tired! And clear a pathway to the beds – ha!
Try To Keep Outward Serenity
Get outward serenity first, then inward. It will be calming to see all the horizontal surfaces clear. Try to end the day with most rooms looking as non-chaotic as possible.
