Hello World! I have missed you!
Recovery from my concussion (resulting from a fall on the concrete floor of a parking garage) has been a longer journey than expected, but I have learned so much along the way.
The biggest lessons I have learned are patience with the healing process, being comfortable slowing down, and trusting God and his perfect timing.
Tomorrow I will wear my new hat in the sunshine as I have breakfast with my good friend. I trust that I will do well. I have been very sensitive to light, but I am okay now!
I took a “test run” to the Target store a few days ago and did well! I bought a new hat and shirt there. I felt like I was in Disneyland because I had not been out for so long!
I have gained an appreciation for a working body and the little joys, like buying a new hat that sang to me before I bought it.
I am doubly grateful, too, because I know the fall could have had much worse results! I did not break anything!
I am having Physical therapy on my shoulder and neck so they will be stronger. I am thankful I have good medical insurance that covers my twice-weekly sessions.
Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.”
“In all things,” … God works for your good”. Here is my interpretation of this verse:
God is always working all things for your good. It does not mean you won’t face difficult circumstances, but it does mean that God will always bring good out of them.
This verse is a good one to remember when you list the good things he has brought into your life during and after a tough time.
This verse is not so good to tell a person right after a loss, tragedy, or hard situation, however. They need time to grieve.
P.S. I am slowing down on my Instagram posts. I have decided to post a reel three times a week instead of every day.
I have shortened my blog posts on my website but still post on the second and fourth Tuesdays.
The big news is that I will begin working on setting up an online course to declutter your life!
