WAY 1: GET AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER
Having a friend to be accountable to can make a big difference.
Someone who knows what you are trying to accomplish and when.
Someone you can call or text or get together for coffee
and update on your progress toward completing your important project.
WAY 2: MAKE APPOINTMENTS
Make frequent appointments with your project.
Set dates and times and do your best to keep those appointments.
Write it on a note and stick it on the frig or bathroom mirror if you have to.
Treat it like you would a doctor’s appointment where they make you pay if you cancel.
Also,
tell the person you are living with when you plan on doing this project
and how important it is to you.
WAY 3: ASK YOURSELF THIS IMPORTANT QUESTION
If you find yourself getting constantly sidetracked,
keep asking yourself this important question:
“Is this the most important thing I could be doing right now?”
Usually, the answer is “No, scrolling on social media is not the most important thing right now”
Or
“No, organizing my sock drawer is not the most important thing right now,
my project is and I have this time allotted for it!”
CONCLUSION:
I hope these additional three ways to avoid procrastination will help.
If you missed the first three,
you will find them on my previous blog.
Have a productive week
and let me know if any of these tips have helped you get around to doing that important project.
