FIVE MORE MOVING TIPS
TIP ONE: LAUNDRY
Catch up on your laundry before moving day.
Put it away in drawers.
TIP TWO: SURFACES
As much as possible, keep your horizontal surfaces cleared.
You will need them for working areas.
TIP THREE: BOOKS/BOOKSHELVES
Moving all your books over to the new place as soon as possible is a good idea.
I use shopping bags and I don’t pack too many in each bag.
Then I stash the bags away in closets and even the shower stall until the movers deliver the bookshelves on moving day.
I use the empty bookcase shelves to help sort items into ziplock bags before the big move.
TIP FOUR: EXTENSION CORDS
Don’t forget to keep extension cords handy for the new place.
You may find that you need them when your items don’t reach the outlets!
TIP FIVE: CLEANING THE OLD PLACE
Save this chore for several days after you move if you can!
You will have plenty to do in the new place to get things liveable.
Our old place was an apartment that required a payment of $115 to have someone clean it.
I chose to save the money and clean it myself.
